Creating pottery on the wheel is often described as a conversation between the potter and the clay. Often I will sit at the wheel with a plan only to have the clay send me in a different direction. This is truly an organic process and even with commercial clay there are many variables that affect how the clay behaves.

All of my work is crafted one piece at a time. Sometimes I make similar items, but no two pieces are exactly alike.

The Soul
of Pottery

In the Begining

Ann started working with Clay around 2003. She didn’t believe she had any artistic ability but was cajoled into trying clay. Then came the purchase of a kiln, a wheel and in short order a business license in 2011.
